About KVC Group

The KVC Group's origin dates back to 1989 when the Group commenced its business of distribution and supply of industrial, electrical and electronic products. Started with the name of Kompress Electric (M) Sdn Bhd, KVC Group was incorporated in Malaysia under the Companies Act, 1965 on 8 September 1997 as a public limited company under the name of KVC Corporation Berhad. On 7 August 2002, the Group was listed on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad with KVC Groups of Companies being its wholly own subsidiaries. Subsequently, its name was change to ATIS Corporation Berhad on 23 May 2003 to reflect the Group's vision of being "A Total Industrial Supplier". This date also marked the beginning of ATIS' corporate journey.

Through the implementation of a 10-year strategic business plan, the Group has successfully positioned itself to be the only One-Stop Industrial Supplier founder on a business-to-business ("B2B") business model of distributing a broad base of industrial products to a large customer base.

Today, the Group is distributing and supplying 85 agencies and 25,000 items through its 26 subsidiaries in almost every states of Malaysia to 6000 customers in major market segments such as Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Utility, Infrastructure, Telecommunication, Engineering, Transportation, Building and Construction. The Group's unique position in the Industrial Supply chain has been built upon a solid infrastructure that is cemented by a team of highly knowledgeable and technical sales personnel, nationwide network of branches and upholding of prompt delivery promise. Other than the local front, the Group has ventured regionally with interests in Singapore, Indonesia, China, Hong Kong and Thailand. This core business forms the foundation of strong recurring income and provides a platform for continuous growth potential.

This year, the Group enters another new era when it announced the JV with Otra Development B.V. Otra is a subsidiary of Sonepar SA, a major and reputable worldwide distributor of electrical equipments based in Paris. The JV will enable ATIS and KVC to continue strengthen their presence in Malaysia. Through this strategic collaboration, we will further boost our position in the local market and increase capability of supplying diversified range of products will be enhanced.

The JV will also provide substantial benefits in achieving ATIS' and KVC' goal in making its mark in the existing embarked territory such as Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, China-Shenzhen and also gain better access to future acquisitions within the said territory undertaken by the Sonepar Group.

With Sonepar as a strategic partner, the management believes that the Group will strengthen the future prospects and achieve the following:

-   Expedite E-commerce platform to propel sales growth in IT savvy environment
