Motors are widely used in industrial sectors and the breakdown of these motors will cause a decrease in the production rate. This unscheduled downtime affects the profitability of the company. Thus, the Intelligent Motor Control Solution is a very viable option for industries who wish to reduce their downtime, maintain product quality and increase productivity.

This project happened because the production department of an American multinational consumer product company which is based in Petaling Jaya set an operational goal to ensure constant accuracy in the mixing of their product. In May 2018, KVC was chosen as the supplier and they collaborated with a local system integrator on this project of introducing the Intelligent System.

The complete solution provided by KVC included the Logix and Variable Speed Drive. These two units communicate via Ethernet/IP to ensure that real time information is being transmitted seamlessly to the upper management and this helps to guide their decision-making process. Moreover, the Automatic Device Configuration from the Intelligent Motor Control Solution ensures that there is only minimal interruption during an unscheduled downtime due to the replacement of the Variable Speed Drive.
