Along with the rapid technological advancement and exposure to renewable energy, a lot of users are looking into alternative energy sources, mainly Solar Energy. The rising cost of electricity from traditional sources makes solar installation a no-brainer for homeowners. By harnessing the power of the sun, homeowners can drastically reduce the monthly electricity bills to almost nil, depending on the amount of sunlight that can be captured and transformed into electric power.

Usage of premium brand products is guaranteed with a higher efficiency, which results in greater power generation from the plant. Also, any unwanted downtime would be very minimal as the products’ reliability is much higher.

With Huawei smart residential PV solution, it provides homeowners insights and control over their energy consumption, as well as to minimize operations and maintenance requirements, and protect the system itself from damage and degradation.

An average lifespan of a solar plant is usually within 20-25 years; which also means that the solar components will need to last for the next 20 years.  However, are the components able to “survive” the next 20 years? Given the track record of Huawei in the solar industry, it only has a very minimal failure rate of 0.5% in their inverters, which ensure great reliability and availability of the PV system.

Huawei FusionSolar supports String Level Monitoring which ensures greater yield generation. The maximum power point of every string will be captured by the Maximum Power Point Tracker (MPPT). Hence, any form of shading that occurs on a single panel, will not jeopardize the whole performance of the particular inverter.

As the name implies, power efficiency is equivalent to the percentage of conversion from DC power to AC power, thus the higher the efficiency, the greater the amount of power converted from the inverter. With an average efficiency of 98.5% and above, Huawei offers the greatest efficiency percentage among its rivals, producing greater power for users. In other words, users are able to have more power produced when using Huawei inverters throughout the lifespan of the PV plant.

Huawei residential inverters are also extremely low weight which eases for installation. With an average weight of 17kg and below, it only requires a single person to do an installation of the inverters, greatly reducing unwanted manpower.

Also, there are no quick-wear parts such as a fan, LCD screen nor buttons on the inverters. These parts are said to be a point of failure where it is unable to last for the next 20 years of plant ownership. Therefore, to avoid these unwanted downtimes, these parts have been removed all in all. With the technology adopted from Huawei’s telecommunications business, the inverters are equipped with a carefully crafted and designed “heat sink” to ensure the best and proper heat dissipation of the inverters, which can be also known as Natural Cooling. Whereas the removal of LCD screen and buttons from the inverters, all forms of monitoring and controlling are now done via Huawei’s FusionSolar Management system with the presence of the internet. This change is on par with the paradigm shift to the Internet of Things (IoT) to provide better convenience to the users.

With IoT, Cloud Computing & Big Data taking shape, the energy industry is executing digital transformation strategies that go beyond smart and enter the +Intelligence era – an era of cloud backed by big data and Artificial Intelligence.

By improving the utilization of solar power, Huawei has helped to power millions of residents and hundreds of industries globally. Huawei will continue to innovate and enable renewable energy to empower each individual, home, and organization.
