Long DescriptionThe exothermic welding process is a method of making electrical connections of copper to copper or copper to steel in which no outside source of heat or power is required. In this process, granular metals (granular copper oxide and aluminium) are placed from a container into a graphite crucible and ignited. This process is a cost effective method of completing a high quality electrical connection and is also simple to follow.For all applications of blind riveting. Aluminium rivet head with steel mandrel. The rivet mandrel is passed through the nose piece of a suitable riveting tool and the rivet body is placed in a prepared hole in the assembly to be fastened. The riveting action pulls the mandrel head into the body of the rivet, so opening it to form an envelope around the mandrel head. When the rivet has been fully deformed and the assembly firmly drawn together, the mandrel breaks at a pre-determined load. The riveter may then be withdrawn and reloaded.
