Long DescriptionThe dive is programmed with parameters, and like all ABB drives, the parameters are organised into logical groups. The software set inside the drive is packed with features that allow the drive to tackle machinery applications. It comes with an 8-step sequence program which allows machine automation to be incorporated inside the drive (16 steps available from ABB). Timer functions can operate at different times of the day and supervision parameters can make decisions based on machine variables. • Dedicated for machinery applications, to allow easy machine automation • Built in Braking chopper as standard, converting kinetic energy to braking power (external resistor required) • Sequencer and extended parameters can remove the need for external controllers (PLC’s) thus reducing machine costs • Timed functions allow the drive to operate differently at different times of the day (requires assistant keypad) • Improves motor speed control compared with vector controller.
