Long DescriptionThe exothermic welding process is a method of making electrical connections of copper to copper or copper to steel in which no outside source of heat or power is required. In this process, granular metals (granular copper oxide and aluminium) are placed from a container into a graphite crucible and ignited. This process is a cost effective method of completing a high quality electrical connection and is also simple to follow.Nikkon superimposed ignitor is suitable for 70W ~ 2000W MH and HPS lamps and potted with epoxy resin to achieve IP65 ingress protection. SP9011 is a superimposed ignitor complete with thermal cut-off which is able to detect the lamp failure or end of lamp life.
