Long DescriptionThe exothermic welding process is a method of making electrical connections of copper to copper or copper to steel in which no outside source of heat or power is required. In this process, granular metals (granular copper oxide and aluminium) are placed from a container into a graphite crucible and ignited. This process is a cost effective method of completing a high quality electrical connection and is also simple to follow.MSA remote sensors, Series 47K, are designed to detect potentially hazardous concentrations of flammable gas and vapour in air. Series 47K sensors used in combination with MSA Controllers fully meet the requirements of ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU, including performance, and being SIL 2 capable they can be used as part of a safety related system.
