While the size of a server room may vary according to the organization’s load, the loss of power to process data and communicate is a common threat. Thus, the power source, storage solutions and protection of sensitive equipment are the main concerns for data loss prevention.

In March 2021, KVC has successfully reduced the chances of unscheduled downtime by introducing the Smart-UPS On-Line by APC to an oil and gas company in Kuala Lumpur. This new setup would be serving as the communication hub and data processing for the offshore location.

>With the APC uninterruptible power supply (UPS), the company’s sensitive IT equipment are protected if there is a power fluctuation or failure from the main power source. In addition to granting ideal power protection, the UPS has high efficiency in “green mode” and excellent battery management.

Apart from introducing the UPS, KVC offered the Easy Cooling Row and fire suppression system. The Easy Cooling Row is ideal for great cable management to improve airflow as well as targeted cooling on the heat sources. The fire suppression system implemented does not use water as it will cause irreparable damage to the IT products.
